Over the past year, I’ve been based in Madison, Wisconsin, working as a Morning Show Producer for WMTV 15’s 2.5-hour morning newscast. It’s been quite the adventure for me, and the year has brought nothing but growth and new experiences.

I’ve experienced snow for the first time during Winter, learned how to truly be independent post-grad, navigated my international work visa, and everything in between that comes with being an international living and working in the U.S.

My career began in the most active way possible — as a producer with no prior experience or any guidebook on surviving work on the graveyard shift (cheers to 9 p.m. wake-up calls and 8 a.m. bedtimes). But through every challenge and hard moment I experienced, I’ve produced work that I am proud of.

I’ve worked on breaking news coverage that won first place honors for the Eric Sevareid Awards and put together shows that kept WMTV 15 as the most-watched AM newscast in Madison.
